The traditional grease-lubricated bearings (including both rolling contact bearings and sliding contact bearings) are replaced with self-lubricating sliding contact bearings, eliminating the pollution hazard to both the transmission medium and the site environment.

Longer bearing life
The service life of traditional ball bearings is affected by the operating conditions. The general design life is about 2-5 years. With this product, the bearing service life can reach 5-10 years.

The pressure chamber of ES type double suction pump has a trapezoidal cross-section. To avoid shape distortion due to casting errors, the flange of the casing cover is designed to be slightly larger than the flange of the casing.
For a split casing pump with a lower head, a single-shell structure is used. To reduce the pressure pulsation during the operation, the diaphragm tongue of the pump pressure chamber is designed with an inclined shape.
For a split casing pump with a higher head, the radial force generated when the pump is running is large. Hence a double volute chamber structure is adopted.
Impeller
The impeller of ES type double-suction pump adopts a structure in which two identical single-suction blades are placed back-to-back. The structure is symmetrical, the liquid flows into the impeller symmetrically from the suction chamber, and the generated axial forces cancel each other out. The runner of the impeller is polished and smoothed by tools like grinding wheels. The thickness of the impeller blades is uniform, and they are polished very thinly at the inlet. The inlet of the blades take the shape of a circular arc, which improves the anti-cavitation performance of the pump.
Seal ring and Impeller seal ring
The sealing ring of ES double suction pump is designed to protect the pump casing and cover. In order to prevent the sealing ring from rotating when the pump is running, it needs to be fixed with a dowel pin. To facilitate installation, the positioning groove of the pin is provided on the middle opening surface of the casing cover or the pump casing.
Similarly, the impeller sealing ring is a part designed to protect the impeller. When the pumped medium contains solid particles, or, the material of the impeller and the seal ring are the same (when specified by the user), in order to reduce the operating cost of the pump, consider using the impeller seal ring. The impeller sealing ring is generally installed with hot fitting.
Shaft
The shaft of ES double-suction pump has two directions of rotation: clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW). In this way, the location of the prime mover can be selected according to the physical space of the pump installation site.
Bearing
The bearing of the ES type double suction pump is a self-lubricating bearing located inside the pump body to support the rotor components. Its biggest advantage is maintenance-free (that is, no daily maintenance is required). It has the advantages of small installation space, stable operation, high efficiency, low operation and maintenance cost.
Shaft seal
The non-driving end of the ES double-suction pump is sealed by static seal; whilst the driving end uses a high-performance cartridge mechanical seal, making it more reliable and stable; it has more convenient maintenance and lower cost.
Water pipe
The piping of ES type double suction pump includes headrace pipe, cooling water control valve, cooling water flow indicator and cooling pipe.
The headrace pipe is to discharge the air in the pump chamber. The pipeline is designed to - either inject water into the pump chamber or use a vacuum pump to suck out the air in the pump chamber
Cooling water control valve and cooling water flow indicator are used to control and display the cooling water flow respectively.
Cooling pipe is designed for cooling the bearings.
Connecting parts
The coupling parts of ES double suction pump generally use diaphragm coupling, elastic pin coupling or gear coupling.
